O ENSINO DA MATEMÁTICA NA NATUREZA: ANÁLISE DA CURVA CICLOIDE NAS FOLHAS

RESUMO: Este trabalho, teve como objetivo, analisar uma das formas geométricas presente nas folhas das árvores: a cicloide. Foram utilizadas duas amostras distintas, de diferentes árvores e após realizar as construções geométricas das cicloides que melhor se ajustavam às curvas das folhas, pôde-se analisar se a aproximação entre a amostra e o desenho correspondente era razoável. Concluiu-se que quanto mais distantes os pontos que formam a cicloide, da curva que descreve as folhas, mais frágil é essa folha, visto a dificuldade de escoamento do vento e da água da chuva.

ABSTRACT: This work had the objective of analyzing one of the geometric forms present in the leaves of the trees: the cycloid. Two different samples of different trees were used and after making the geometric constructions of the cycloids that best fit the curves of the leaves, it was possible to analyze if the approximation between the sample and the corresponding drawing was reasonable. It was concluded that the more distant the points that form the cycloid, the curve that describes the leaves, the more fragile this leaf is, considering the difficulty of draining wind and rainwater.
